APW - Ball Hampden, "Ball's Standard, Cleveland, O." marked mvt, 17J, 18S, gold-filled OF recase with beautiful engraving detail, "Webb C. Ball Cleveland, O." marked white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, nickel damascene, s#761709. A rare watch, in our experience this version with movement marked "Ball's Standard" but not additionally marked "Superior Grade" is harder to find than the version with "Superior Grade" marking.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, some nicks to table of balance cock, small dark spot to foot of balance cock, scattered micro-fine scratches elsewhere; dial with scattered hls including a cluster at 12, edge chip at 12:30 with some additional edge chipping extending to 12, edge flake at 5, some additional small edge nicks or flakes elsewhere under bezel; fine hands, minute with finish loss; case shows hardly any wear, no dents or dings, superb engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows very little wear; good glass crystal.
